Apache Soccer Sweeps Northeast Texas, Men Clinch Regular Season Title

The Tyler Junior College Apaches clinched another Region XIV regular season soccer championship on Friday after defeating Northeast Texas 3-0 at Pat Hartley Field.
The Apaches improve to 14-3 on the season and 11 in Region XIV.
The Eagles fall to 13-4 and 9-3.
Scoring goals for TJC were Karsimi Konneh, Dion Macfoy-Johnston and Jonathan Martinez.
Assists were from Tamar Clayon-Naute and Thaabit Baartman.
The Apaches return to play on Saturday, hosting Paris Junior College at 7 p.m. TJC will conclude the regular season when the Apaches visit Jacksonville on Oct. 26.
In the first game of the night, the Apache Ladies defeated NE Texas 6-1 to improve to 13-0 overall and 9-0 in conference.
The women will also play on Saturday, hosting Paris at 5 p.m. They will then travel to Corsicana to meet Navarro in a 4 p.m. contest on Tuesday.
