No. 1 Apaches blank Clarendon
Three TJC pitchers combined on a four-hitter and Dalton Davis was 3 for 3 at the plate as the No. 1 Apaches scored a 10-0 seven-inning win over Clarendon College on Saturday at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Mike Carter Field.
Tyler Junior College (7-4) took the series, 2-1, after the squads split on Friday. The Bulldogs fall to 3-3.
Nick Sestito (3.1 innings, 1 hit, 1 strikeout), Matthew York (2.2 innings, 3 hits, 2 strikeouts, 1 walk) and Casen Holden (1 inning, 2 strikeouts) were on the hill for TJC.
Ren Reynolds and Tres Thomas each had triples for Tyler with Heath Hood and Tate Whittington belting doubles.
