Bio

Kayla began as the assistant athletic trainer at Tyler Junior College in 2022. Prior to this, she served here as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer in the 2017-2018 year, and after that she was the Assistant Athletic Trainer for the years 2018-2020.

In her time away from Tyler Junior College, she was an Athletic Trainer at Northwest Iowa Bone, Joint and Sports Surgeons in Spencer, Iowa, and was also an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa.

She received her Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa, and she received her Master’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Texas at Tyler in Tyler, Texas. She is currently working towards her PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences through Texas Tech University. She is BOC certified and state licensed, as well as dry needling certified.

She and her husband, Andy, reside in Bullard, TX with their dog, Rex.
