Apaches beat Barton on PK's in National Tourney

The Tyler Apache women's soccer team defeated Barton on penalty kicks, 5-4 in the last game of the day at the NJCAA National women's tournament Monday night in Wichita, Kansas.  The two teams played two 45 minute halves and two overtime periods of scoreless soccer.  All five Apaches, Lucy Connolly-Brame, Kyleigh D'Spain, Miki Hayashi, Renee Junna, and Sam Roddenhof netted their penalty kicks and Barton's final kick bounced off the left post and bounced to the left of the goal, giving the victory to the Apaches.  Next up for Tyler is their next pool play match against Eastern Florida State College at 5:30 pm on Tuesday in Wichita, Kansas.
