Apache women get at large bid to NJCAA tournament
The Apache women's soccer team got good news today as the NJCAA announced they earned an at-large bid to the NJCAA Division I women's National Championship tournament. The NJCAA posted a Division I soccer release show online: https://youtu.be/DFTeTGKc894
Tyler goes into pool D as a #5 seed with a familar opponent, #4 seed Eastern Florida State College(11-3-1). The Apaches defeated Eastern Florida on September 15 at home on Hartley Field, 2-1. The other team in Pool D is #9 seeded Barton County Community College(14-2-3) out of Kansas. Pool play begins November 12th at the Stryker Sports Complex in Wichita, Kansas.
The Apaches enter the tournament having been ranked #3 in the last NJCAA national rankings, finished with a 16-1-2 record, and were #3 in goals scored, #2 in both shots and corner kicks.
