#3 Apaches capture Region 14 Championship over #9 Navarro

The #2 ranked Tyler Apaches Women Soccer team defeated rival #9 Navarro, 3-2,  to win the Region 14 Championship Tuesday night at Pat Hartley Field.  The two teams had tied in both of the two previous regular season matchups.  In the back and forth battle, Navarro had a 1-0 lead at the half, but the Apaches would score 3 goals in the second period, two of which came by Adizatu Mustapha, including the game winner that came at the 80:09 mark in the match.   Lawrencia Yeboah scored the other goal for the Apaches.  Next up for Tyler is an opportunity to play for the District Championship against Hill College on Friday at 1 pm in Hillsboro, Texas.
