Bio

Coach Brian Hoberecht (pronounced HO-BRIGHT) began his time on Coach Mike Marquis’s staff at Tyler in 2023.  For the 15 previous years, he was head coach at Kilgore College, compiling a record of 296-161.  Prior to Kilgore Brian was the head coach for 8 years at Dodge City Community College in Kansas. 

In the last 10 seasons, Kilgore College had a 214-93 overall record and a conference record of 118-77 in NJCAA Region XIV.

Also, during the last 10 seasons, more than 35 of his players signed Division I basketball scholarships at four-year schools

Under Coach Hoberecht, the graduation rate was more than 90 percent of all two-year players at Kilgore College.

  • Ranked #2 in the NJCAA in 2013-2014 and 2021-2022 Season
