Romberg and Popovic Named All-Americans by United Soccer Coaches
Carlo Romberg and Ljubo Popovic have been named All-Americans by the United Soccer Coaches Association.
Romberg, a forward, finished the season with 7 goals and 11 assists, playing a pivotal role in the team's offensive success. Known for his agility and excellent field awareness, Romberg is adept at reading the game and attacking the ball, maximizing every opportunity to score. His uncanny ability to always land on his feet has earned him the nickname "the cat."
Popovic, a defender, earned his All-American honor through his aggressive play and relentless work ethic. While defensive statistics are often overlooked, Popovic's tenacity and leadership were evident in every match. From his position in the backfield, he commands the defense with authority and uses his sharp field awareness to drive the play forward.
The Apaches are fortunate to have two such talented athletes on their team.
