Eddy came as the Head Athletic Trainer at Tyler Junior College (TJC), a member college of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) in 2003. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and master’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. In the ten years prior to joining the TJC athletic department, Eddy was the head Athletic Trainer at various high schools throughout the State of Texas. At TJC, he oversees the Athletic Training Program which includes four staff athletic trainers and up to 20 students, providing and/or supervising the care and treatment of athletes participating in twelve sports teams. Former staff and students have gone on to work in the field of athletic training throughout the MLB, MLS, NBA, NCAA Division 1-3, NJCAA, high schools, and the United States military. During his career, Eddy has received the following awards: East Texas Athletic Training Association (ETATA) Hall of Honor, NJCAA Athletic Trainer of the year, East Texas Sandy Miller Award. He has also served as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Texas High School Coaches Association All Star Basketball Team and the NJCAA National Baseball Team. He has been the Sports Medicine Director for State 7-on-7 Championships, Texas Grand Slam Tennis Tournament and numerous NJCAA Regional and National Championship Tournaments.

Eddy and wife Shelley have two children, Morgan and Mason.
