TJC Apaches Defeat Paris Junior College In Nail-Biter

Despite seeing their 5-run lead whittled down by the end, TJC Apaches still held off for a 5-4 victory on Tuesday. Paris Junior College closed the gap by scoring on a walk and an error.
A double by Berlyn Grossman put TJC Apaches on the board in the bottom of the second.
Sierra Ouellette stepped in the circle first for TJC Apaches. The righty surrendered six hits and four runs (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out seven and walking two. Nova Montes led things off in the circle for Paris Junior College. The right-handed pitcher surrendered six hits and four runs (three earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out two and walking three.
Grossman led TJC Apaches with two runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The left-handed hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. Alinna Cruz set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading TJC Apaches with three hits in four at bats. Sydney Farmer collected two hits for TJC Apaches in four at bats. TJC Apaches had a strong eye at the plate, collecting four walks for the game.
Madison Reid, Kelsey Kovar, Laci Berecochea, Kadynce Crenshaw, Gabriela Sosa, and Hayeli Acosta each collected one hit for Paris Junior College. Tatum Waller led the team with one run batted in.
